Tasek Bersia is located in Gerik,
Perak and it’s about 7km from the town of Gerik. It’s the last dam that jointed
from the main river. The destination was the Bersia Lake next to it is Air
Ganda Dam that is connected to the monster Perak River. This is one of great giant
snakehead and jungle perch fishing destination in Malaysia. The giant snakehead
and jungle perch fish here is said to be available in huge sizes and its nature
is almost akin to that of it in its natural habitat. This is the place where we
need to be preparing for anything because the geographical of the lake is many
dead trees and beneath it stays a lot of giant snakehead.
The biggest catch of giant snake head ever landed in this lake was 18kg. That is monster size, and 1-4 kg is a normal size to catch on this lake. Fishing gear must be at top notch because you need to handle the fish when hook up because you cannot let the giant snakehead goes down under the dead trees, if so, you will lose your fish and worst, losing your beloved lure.
