Frequently Asked Questions

Are fishing equipment provided?
We, as anglers ourselves, feel that most anglers prefer to use their own gear. However, we do include all fishing gear should you choose not to bring your own. Fly fishing equipment is not provided.

What medical precautions do I need?
For visitors to Malaysia no special inoculations are required. However as a precautionary measure, we would recommend anti malarial medication if traveling to jungle areas. Check with your local medical practitioner.

Do you guaranteed to catch Fish?
When comes to natural fishing, many things must to consider, for fresh water game fish also have many factors that can be your ‘Judgement Day’ of your day. High and low level water and many factors need to be considered when it comes to angling and even if all the required measures are taken to ensure a good trip there is still no known method to force a fish to bite. Excellent technique, good casting skill, never give up, and positive thinking should help.

Food & Drinks:
All customized fishing itineraries include meals as part of the package while at sea, camping or at major lakes. This, however, is mainly local food. Mineral water and soft drink is also usually provided. All other alcoholic drinks and meals are upon request and at one's own expense.

English is widely spoken in Malaysia in the service industry. In the more remote areas, however, it is less understood and most boat crews do not speak it. Your local angling guides are always on hand to translate. Special language requirements are available but prior notice must be given.

What's the best time of the year?
There is no best time - angling is good the whole year through with the exception of the monsoon season which runs from Nov to Feb. There is recommended time to hunt jungle perch which is in monsoon season because at this season, they become extra frenzy.
