General information about tackle gear and set up for your reference, each game fish has different tackle set up for maximizing the experience.

Fresh Water Series

1. Giant Snakehead and Jungle Perch
Tackle gear suggestion
a)            10-20lb and higher, MH rod series
b)            4kg and above of reel drag

Lure Suggestion
a)            Buzz baits
b)            Pencil bait [8 – 12 cm]
c)            Deep crank [2 – 4 m]

2. Peacock Bass
Tackle gear suggestion
a)            4-10lb and higher, Fast and Moderate rod series
b)            4kg and above of reel drag

Lure Suggestion
a)            Minnow [6-9 cm]
b)            Top Water bait [5 – 10 cm]
c)            Deep crank [2 – 4 m]


Saltwater Series

1. Nine Islands
Jigging: 1 set of PE0.8 - 1.5
Various jig range from 20gram to 80 gram 
Casting: 1 set of 10-20lb or higher
Various lure range from 8cm to 12cm [minnow] 
Bottom fishing & trolling is optional. 

2. Jarak Island
Jigging: 1 set of PE0.8 - 1.5 & PE1-3
Various jig range from 20gram to 120 gram 
Casting: 1 set of 10-20lb or higher
Various lure range from 8cm to 12cm [minnow] 
Bottom fishing & trolling is optional. 

3. Karang Tinggi
Jigging: 1 set of PE1 - 3 & PE3-5
Various jig range from 20gram to 180 gram 

4. Langkawi Island
Fly Gear: wt9-wt12
Fly Baits: Clouser, Charlie, Deceiver and Surfcandy
Casting: 1 set of 8-20lb or higher
Various lure range from 8cm to 12cm [minnow] 
Bottom fishing & trolling is optional. 

5. Kuala Rompin
Fly Gear: wt12 or higher
Fly Baits: Clouser, Charlie, Deceiver and Surfcandy
Casting: 1 set of 12-2lb or higher
Various lure range from 8cm to 12cm [minnow]
Jigging Rod PE3 or higher
A suitable reel. (Daiwa reel size 4500 and above or Shimano reel size 6000)
Bottom fishing & trolling is optional

Each game fish has different of tackle set up for maximum experience of hooking the fish. All the listed above is only for suggestion. Angler can follow our suggestion but feel free to ignore it. We, as anglers ourselves, feel that most anglers prefer to use their own gear.
